Accessibility. Is Bateaux New York wheelchair accessible?

Attire. What is the dress code on Bateaux New York?
Dinner Cruises:
Collared shirts for gentlemen (jackets requested). For women, cocktail wear, a dress or dressy-casual attire. Dark or dressy Jeans are acceptable. However, we strongly recommend no casual jeans, t-shirts, shorts, athletic shoes or flip flops at any time.
Lunch, Brunch or Moonlight Cruises:
For gentlemen, we recommend dressy casual attire such as nice slacks and a collared shirt. For women, dressy-casual attire. Dark or dressy Jeans are acceptable. However, we strongly recommend no casual jeans, t-shirts, shorts, athletic shoes or flip flops at any time.
Bateaux. What does "Bateaux" mean?
Bateaux is the French word for "boats.” Patterned after the elegant glass boats that cruise the riverbanks of Paris, France, Bateaux New York features glass ceiling and walls with supporting framework to offer unparalleled views of the Manhattan skyline.
Boarding. What is "Boarding Time" and "Cruising Time?"
"Boarding Time" is the earliest our guests may board the ship. Typically we begin boarding 1/2 hour prior to the "Cruise Time." Tickets are picked up at our dockside kiosk up-to one hour prior to the cruise.
Cancellations. What is your cancellation policy?
Although your purchase is a final and non-refundable, we will be happy to reschedule for another available date of your choosing up to a year from the date of your original reservation. You will be assessed a $25 per ticket re-booking fee and are responsible for any price difference if you happen to choose a cruise with a different price.
Children. Are there any age requirements?
Lunch and Brunch Cruises:
Children under 3 are complimentary and a discount is offered for children between the ages of 3 and 12 on our Brunch and Lunch Cruises.
Dinner Cruises:
Bateaux Dinner Cruises feature a sophisticated atmosphere. Children under 4 are not permitted and we do not offer a discounted rate for children.
Coast Guard Regulations. Is the vessel Coast Guard certified?
Yes. All of our ships are Coast Guard certified and maintained regularly to adhere to strict safety regulations.
Cruise Route. Where does the ship go?
We cruise the Hudson and East Rivers past the skyscrapers of Manhattan including the Empire State Building. You will see the Intrepid Sea-Air Space Museum, the Brooklyn Bridge, the site of the World Trade Center, Battery Park City, South Street Seaport, the Verrazano Narrows Bridge, Governor’s Island, Ellis Island and the Colgate Clock. Dancing. What kind of dance music do you play?
Dancing across the Hudson River aboard Bateaux New York is a rare delight enhanced by the sophisticated sounds of live soft jazz, Broadway, blues and more, provided by our own professional jazz trio and remarkable New York song stylist.
Directions. How do I get to the ship?

Drinks. What do drinks cost?
Our mixed drinks start at $7.50, beer starts at $6, and wine begins at $5.50 per glass. Soft drinks are $2.50 each. Coffee, tea and iced tea are included in the ticket price. All other beverages can be purchased on board. Prices do not include tax or gratuity.
Entertainment. What type of entertainment is offered?
The harmonic notes of a Baby Grand Piano greet our guests, followed by the sophisticated sounds of an acoustic trio and the satin-smooth melodies of our talented vocalist over dinner. After dessert, the sounds of soft Jazz, Broadway and Blues entice dancing and romance surrounded by the greatest entertainment of all – a 180-degree view of the greatest skyline in the world. Gift Certificates. How can I purchase gift certificates?
Bateaux Gift Certificates are available from $50 to $400 and may be purchased online or by calling toll free 866.817.3463. Printed gift certificates come with an elegant presentation holder. Bateaux Cruises will continue to honor any previously issued Gift Certificates that contained a listed expiration date.

Groups. What size group can Bateaux New York accommodate?
Bateaux New York offers two dining rooms which can be adjoined for up to 300 passengers or separated into two soundproof private suites for 170 and 130 guests. Unique banquette seating also allows for artful small-party grouping of any size. Customized menus and enhancements are available for groups of 20 or more, and charters can customize every detail from beginning to end. Menu. What type of food is served?
Our menu is plated New American Cuisine – an exquisite three-course dining experience featuring chic appetizers, gourmet entrees and luscious dessert concoctions, all complemented by excellent wines and attentive tableside service. With advance notice, we can accommodate requests for kosher meals, and can arrange special meals for guests with allergies. See our Dinner or Lunch menu.
Packages. Do you offer packages to make my cruise extra-special?

Parking. Is there parking close to the ship?

Payment. What type of payment do you accept?
Payment is required in full at the time of the reservation. We accept major credit cards: VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Diner's Club. We also accept traveler's checks, money orders, and certified checks. Please send checks or money orders to the address below:

Phones. Will my cell phone work on the cruise?
Yes, your cell phone will work on the cruise. For the comfort of other guests, we ask that cell phone conversations be held on the outside decks.
Refunds. What is your refund policy?
We regret there are no refunds or exchanges. All sales are final. We cruise rain or shine all year long. In the rare event the Coast Guard prohibits cruising because of weather, we will contact you to make other arrangements.

Reservations. How can I make reservations for a cruise?
While parties of 19 or fewer are often able to walk up and purchase tickets on the day of a cruise, reservations are highly recommended. You can purchase tickets online via our reservations system or by phone.

Seasickness. Will I get seasick?
It's unlikely. Bateaux New York operates in New York Harbor, on the Hudson River and the East River, which are all very calm bodies of water. What's more, our ship is very stable, so in most cases, you can hardly tell that we're moving.

Seating. How is seating arranged on board?
Our ship is very flexible when it comes to seating. Tables for two, four, six, eight and even more can be arranged to suit almost every party and occasion. Our unique banquette seating allows us to create groupings of 20 to 100 with ease while still providing intimate seating for couples and foursomes.
Ship information. Can you tell me a little about your ship?
The all glass ceiling and wall, 300-passenger Bateaux New York is Manhattan's most luxurious dinner cruise ship. Spaciously designed with climate-controlled interior decks, two outdoor strolling decks and a spacious hardwood dance floor.
Smoking. What is your smoking policy?
All interior areas of our ship are non-smoking areas. Passengers who smoke may do so on the outdoor observation decks.
Tickets. Where can I pick up the cruise tickets?
Tickets can be conveniently picked up at the dock, up to one hour prior to boarding, on the day of the cruise. The credit card used for purchase and photo ID will be required.

Absolutely. Our ships are fully enclosed and climate-controlled for your comfort. We sail rain or shine year round.
Weddings Events. What kind of wedding events can be held on your ships and how much do they cost?
Bateaux New York can uniquely handle any wedding event you can name, from an engagement party, shower, bridal luncheon and post-wedding breakfast to the ultimate rehearsal dinner, wedding and/or reception. Cost depends on the number of guests, the time of year and the package you choose. You might remember that NBC's "Today Show" featured Bateaux New York as the ultimate wedding reception setting during its 4th annual "Today Throws A Wedding" segment!
